What’s on the Labour Party’s Agenda for Training?

Newly elected governments always start off with some grand ideas of how things need to change, and the new Labour government has some interesting ideas regarding how they wish to alter the direction of travel for apprenticeships. We thought we would share these ideas with you, the users of the system, to see what you think.

The new Labour government have outlined five key areas of change for apprenticeships

  1. Expanding the apprenticeship levy: Labour believes that the current levy system is failing to provide enough skilled workers and aims to make other types of vocational training available to employers (for example, short courses), all paid for via the apprenticeship levy system.
