
After your apprentice has successfully completed their Level 2 Hair Professional apprenticeship, what next? One popular option is for them to continue with their education with a Level 3 Advanced and Creative Hair Professional apprenticeship. This programme builds on their existing skills, introducing advanced techniques.
The apprenticeship is designed for those who want to advance their career in hairdressing, focusing
on creativity, advanced techniques, and leadership skills. The apprentice will learn to:
- Create, plan, and promote a collecton of hair styles that reflct their individuality
- Work independently, managing themselves and othr when required
- Provide high quality services while adhering to industry standards
(Please note they will need to pass Level 2 English and maths functional skills as part of advanced apprenticeship, unless they already have equivalent qualifications in these subjects (e.g. GCSE grade 4 or above).
Another popular progression route is for apprentices to complete a barbering qualification. this is especially relevant for salons that have a sizable male clientele.
The apprentice will learn to:
- Cut hair using barbering techniques to create a variety of looks
- Cut facial hair into shape
- Provide shaving services
