On 1 February 2024, the ownership of Cheynes Training changed hands. The previous owners, Cheynes Management Ltd, decided some time ago that they wished to focus on their core business of salon hairdressing. As a result, the new owner, Melanie Mitchell, formed a company she called Cheynes Training Ltd. which has now taken over the programme.
Melanie’s aim when taking control of Cheynes Training was to maintain the extremely high standards set over the very many years that the company has operated, and to ensure that the highly experienced teams involved with every aspect of the programme remained in place so that the chageover would be a seamless as possible.
We are pleased to report that everyone involved has now moved across to Cheynes Training from Cheynes Management and is now part of the new company. Importantly, this means that apprentices will continue to be trained by the same tutors, at the same locations, supported by the same Training Advisor. It also means that academy teams will continue to work with the same experienced admin team, who are still based in Edinburgh.
