Some big congratulations to Linda Smith from Elite Hair Academy, recently Linda won the 2017 East Sussex Business Women’s Highly Commended Medium Business Award. These awards are dedicated to recognising, rewarding and celebrating local businesses, any business within East Sussex newspaper area could enter themselves or be nominated.
The awards evening had high energy and a sense of real camaraderie amongst all the finalists. There were lots of heart-warming stories by women showing their grit and resilience to maintain their businesses running smoothly.
Linda said “When I heard parts of my story being read out, I could hardly believe my ears! And then my name was read out to go on stage and collect my award. I felt emotional and extremely great full of my team who are the best I could wish for, without them there would be no business. My award takes pride of place in my office as a reminder that no matter the challenges, I can meet them”.
