Spring / Summer Term
Monday 1st May is the official start of the Cheynes Training Spring/Summer term.
We expect that Cheynes Training will have an Ofsted inspection at some point between June and December 2017. The inspection will be under arrangements that includes giving a training provider just two days’ notice of an inspection. As salons and academies will be aware, when an inspection takes place, Cheynes Training has no say in where inspectors visit or on which day. Our last two inspections visits were made during holiday periods which caused quite a few issues with some centres not being open for training. As a response Cheynes Training has formalised a ‘three term’ academic year which means that our programme will be officially ‘open for business’ for a total of 40 weeks during the following term times in 2017:
- Term 1 – Mon 9th January to Thu 13th April (Winter term) 14 weeks
- Term 2 – Mon 1st May to Thu 27th July, (Spring/Summer term) 13 weeks
- Term 3 – Mon 4th September to Thu 30th November (Autumn term) 13 weeks
Although these are our official term times, there is no guarantee that Ofsted will not visit is during term breaks. Centres are free to vary the above dates but please be aware that we cannot guarantee RTA support outside of the above official dates; however, apart from the normal Public Holidays the Cheynes Training office in Edinburgh will remain open through the year.
