A very big ‘Thank You’ to all those who took part in the ‘Short Inspection’ of Cheynes Training by Ofsted in early June. Short inspections are reserved for training providers who achieved Grade 2 (Good) on their previous inspection. The aim of a short inspection is to ensure the provider remains ‘Good’ and we are delighted to report that Cheynes Training once again achieved Ofsted Grade 2.
A short inspection follows all the normal rules for inspecting providers of education against the Common Inspection Framework. Along with all providers, we were given just two working days’ notice and a total of six inspectors visited a number of academies, spoke to numerous employers and met with a good many apprentices. In addition, inspectors spent two days looking at our safeguarding and Prevent Duty arrangements; examining learner data and looking at other evidence of how the programme as a whole is managed.
Following on from the inspection, we are now working at producing our post-Ofsted action plan with the aim of building on the June outcome and ensure our next inspection is even more successful.
