All apprentices must spend a minimum of 20% of their working time undertaking Off-the-Job training, that is, training that takes place away from their normal work duties. The funding rules have been strengthened and the Education and Skills Funding Agency will come down very hard on any provider that fails to show evidence that the rule is being met.

To ensure that we are able to provide the required evidence, Cheynes Training have introduced a new ‘Apprentice Weekly Review’ that academies must use to record all Off-the-Job training that takes place each week. The Apprentice Weekly Review is located in the Apprentice Learning Story folder for each apprentice recruited after 1st May 2017.
