How to complete your ERR Study Unit

To complete the ERR unit you will have to study each of the eight session in this ERR Online Study Guide and complete the activities.

You will then need to obtain a signed ERR Workplace Visa.

Your Head of Centre will have a set of oral or written questions and answers to quickly check your competency prior to signing. You will not be asked anything that is not included in this ERR Online Study Guide.

The aim of this Workplace Visa is to guide you through ERR and ensure that as you gather knowledge in each key area it is recorded and logged correctly.

When all sessions have been completed and signed off, your Head of Centre will fill out the final section (application for certification) and forward it to Cheynes Training who will arrange final certification.

There is a glossary of explanations of words and phrases.

About the Personal Blog

Your Personal Blog helps you to think about your experience during your course, particularly on:

  • Your feelings about the session and your development as a learner
  • What you learned in the session
  • Your plans for future learning as a result of each session

A Personal Blog can contain your personal thoughts, feelings and ideas. You should write it up (or tape it) at the end of each session, or at the end of two sessions, if you do  this in one sitting.

A copy of your personal blog is attached.

You can show your Personal Blog to your supervisor if you want, but the information in it is always treated as confidential. It will be used to support you – it will not be assessed.

A rough guide line to complete a blog entry is between 10 and 15 minutes.

Remember that seeking advice and support to help solve queries or problems is a form of strength and professionalism.

We hope that you enjoy the course and we’ve included an evaluation form at the end so that you can tell us how you got on.
