Apprenticeship Success Rates
In England, the Skills Funding Agency measures success within the apprenticeship system by looking at what happens to all learners (we call them Candidates) who are due to complete their programme within a 12 month period which runs from 1 August to 31 July each year; this group of Candidates is known as a ‘cohort’ and the measurement period is called a ‘cohort year’.
The latest ‘cohort year’ended on 31 July 2010 and we are pleased to say that Cheynes Training has, once again, achieved high levels of success rates and these now stand at almost 69% for Apprenticeships and a slightly disappointing 61% for Advanced Apprenticeships. An analysis of the current 2010-11 'cohort year' shows that we are on track to achieve well over 70% success rates with our programme with around 72.5% for Apprenticeships and above 70% for Advanced Apprenticeships.
The bar chart shows progress over the previous three years plus our estimate for 2010-11. Although it will be several months before the Skills Funding Agency publishes national figures, we estimate that Cheynes Training will, once again, be above the hairdressing national average which we expect will be under 70%.
