Level Two - Join Our Programme

How would you like to train for a brand new hairdressing career in a top salon, receive first class training, earn a salary and gain two NVQ Level Two qualifications all at the same time?

What Would Be Involved?

Young people who take part in the Cheynes Training NVQ Level Two programme join one of the top salons in their area in order to work and gain valuable work experience whilst undertaking high quality NVQ training. The training concentrates on hairdressing but we also teach subjects such as health and safety, reception work and retailing, communication, people skills and other important subjects that are designed to teach young people about the exciting world of fashion hairdressing.

What Else Will You Do?

As a NVQ Level Two Candidate working in a top salon will do their share of coffee making, sweeping up and making sure the salon is tidy. But it does not stop there! At first the Candidate will learn the simple skills of hairdressing such as the correct method of shampooing, how to deal with Clients, answering the telephone and learning how to schedule appointments. As your confidence grows you will learn more skills such as how to blow-dry correctly, how to dress hair, how to apply colour and much, much more!

What About Job Prospects?

In a word, excellent! The aim of the programme is to make sure that each young person who trains with a top salon becomes a top hair designer. All young people are employed by the salon from day one and quickly become part of the salon team.
